In 1995 I freelanced for The Bookworm Student Library in Knoxville, TN. I created this piece for their poetry series: "Making the modern and after the Fire."
Kubla Khan, written by Samuel Taylor Coleridge has long been considered a poem written under the frenzy of some pychotropic drug. I am not sure, I chose to show the writer invisioning the scene of this far away exotic place as he is writing.
